The individual managers of OXEM have specialized background in the agribusiness and each of them has held key management positions in domestic and international biodiesel activities.
Chairman of the Board: Stefano Meloni
He is also Chairman of Hedge Invest SGR, Valore Reale SGR (real estate fund) and Polynt S.p.A. (a large public chemical company).
Previously he has held a number of high level industry positions: Chairman and CEO of Eridania Béghin-Say Group; member of the Conseil des Marchés Financiers; consulting board member of Banque de France; board member of Edison, Fondiaria, Burgo, Banca Mercantile; General Manager and Chief Country Officer for Citibank Italy.
Managing Director: Claudio Rocchietta
Managing partner of consultancy firm Biofuels Partners, vice president of EABA (European Algae Biomass Association) deeply involved in the developments of second generation Biofuels, and board member of EBB (European Biodiesel Board).
Former board member of Greenergy Biofuels Ltd (London) and CEO of Novaol – one of the pioneers in the European biodiesel industry, initially part of Montedison, later of Bunge – and General Manager of Eridania - Oilseeds division; he was also the founding president of the European Biodiesel Board and president of the Italian Oilseed Crushing Association. Early on in his career, he worked in specialty chemicals and in agribusiness in various commercial and management functions with W.R.Grace and Cargill (1970-1987).
General Manager: Alastair Fraser
He has a range of experiences in the biodiesel arena and agribusiness: he was General Manager of Novaol and served on a number of biofuel working parties at national and European level. Prior to joining OXEM, he was Managing Director of an Italian fertilizer company and regional director for Kemira Specialty Crop Care.
